How to Get Started

I Just Joined, Now What?

Phew! You’ve just joined this group and you visit for the first time and you just don’t know where to begin. You see all of these posts about cards that are going out or coming in, you hear rumblings of something called a mini exchange, and you are just lost on how to get involved. I totally get it! There is a lot to learn, but that also means there’s so many different ways you can get involved.

First step, breathe. Give yourself some grace. Our group didn’t get this large and launch this many programs in just a few days, learning the ins and outs will take time. I hope that in the end, you will see how worth it it was as you get involved in (I might be a bit biased here) one of the kindest little corners of the internet.

Next step is the most important, know you are not alone. Everyone here had a first day and we are here to help guide you through. Between this guide and the others on the website and our incredible, helpful members, you will never walk alone. There is always someone here to help. Before you know it, you will be on your way to helping new members yourself!

First Thing’s First

What is Random Acts of Cardness?

Random Acts of Cardness was founded in 2015 with one goal in mind: spreading love and joy around the world one greeting card at a time.

The most common question we get asked when folks first join is what exactly is this group and how are cards distributed?

There are similar groups that specialize in bulk mailings for nursing homes and deployed military members, but we are a person to person mailing group. Senders send cards directly to the mailboxes of those who are celebrating birthdays and anniversaries, who need encouragement, who have experienced a loss, or for any other reason.

Which would you like to learn about first?
